🌳 Race Philosophy

• Inspiration: We believe that kids should experience the joy, challenge and accomplishment of running through the woods.
• Fun: We also believe that doing something hard, like running, can be fun, rewarding and will help foster self confidence and self esteem.
• Benefits: Trail running is extra special and fun and we believe kids appreciate and benefit from the wildness of it.

🏞️ Race Details

• Course: This course starts pretty flat and hard packed and then turns onto the mountain bike trail. Runners will experience twists and turns, roots and rocks!
• Schedule: The planned schedule is to start the youngest age first at 9am, then approximately 15 minutes later we'll start the 6-9 year olds and the 10-13 year olds about 20 minutes later.
• Awards: Awards for each age group will follow each race.
• Distances: RACE DISTANCES: 0.6 mile for 3-5yr olds, 1.8 miles for 6-9yr olds, 3.2 miles for 10-13yr olds.

🎖️ Inclusions

• Medal: Every kid will receive an awesome wooden finishers medal!
• Awards: We will present awards to the top 3 girls and boys in each age group.
• Refreshments: Post-race refreshments will be served. We ask that you bring a reusable water bottle to refill from our drink station.
• Timing: Every racer will be timed. Race bibs will be provided.

Each race's finishers medal fits together to make 1 large series Medallion!

💲 Registration Information

Registration fee: $30

If you would like your child to participate but the registration fee is a barrier, please contact carrie@elevateeventcompany.com for information on sponsored entries.

If you would like to sponsor a child, please contact heather@elevateeventcompany.com or choose the "sponsor a wild one" option when registering your child. We are also collecting donations for the S.T.U.F.F. Bus including new running shoes for kids that need financial help. We believe every child should have access to proper running shoes.

🛑 Additional Information

• Parental Support: Parents can run with their children, they just need to sign a waiver. One parent per child please.
• Volunteers: We will have volunteers on the course to help keep the kids on course. We can always use help: please consider volunteering by signing up.
• Course Marking: The courses will be marked with orange pin flags.
