Light The Way 5K

🏃‍♂️ Event Overview

• Date: May 9th, 2025
• Location: 450 Redwood Street, Hudson, NC
• Race Info: Poovey’s Chapel Light the Way 5K will host its annual 5k run.
• Purpose: Funds from the run will help sponsor our youth’s activities for the year.

📅 Schedule of Events

• Registration: Starts at 7:00 PM
• Kids Fun Run: 7:30 PM
• Fitness Walk/Stroll: 8:00 PM
• 5K Race: 8:45 PM (Chip Timed)

💰 Registration Details

• Cost: $15 until April 27th
• T-Shirt Deadline: April 27th (Sign up early to guarantee a T-shirt)
• Prizes: Awarded for each category of racers!
• Walk-up Registration: $20 after April 27th

• Purpose: All donations & proceeds go towards Poovey’s Chapel Baptist Church Youth for Mission Trips, Youth retreats, youth conferences, and special events!

🌟 Race Course Details

• Start Time: The 5K will begin at 8:45 p.m. (dark)
• Course: The course goes through the beautiful town of Hudson, lit by torches and people holding lights to Light the Way!
• Open Participation: Fun runs for kids, walks, and strolls are available: the 5K is open to anyone (running, walking, pulling a wagon, pushing a stroller, crawling, etc.)
• Support: Thank you for your continued support for Poovey’s Chapel youth!
