Kids & Cops Doughnut Run-5K/1Mile Fun Run

🏃‍♂️ Event Overview

• Event Title: Our 5th Annual Kids & Cops Doughnut Run is a day of fun and awareness, offering both a competitive 5K and non-competitive 1 Mile Walk/Run.
• Family-Friendly: This is also the perfect event for those looking for a fun day out with the family, a walk in a beautiful park, and/or a way to support a good cause.
• Pre-Race Festivities: Prior to the race intro at 9:15am, we will have refreshments, music, kid's activities, the opportunity to explore first response vehicles, as well as a photo opp with our always awesome mascot, The GIANT Doughnut Man!
• Proceeds: Proceeds from this event will benefit the programs and services offered by the Southern Region of Brightpoint.

📍 Event Location

• Location: Wilson Park in Granite City, IL.
• Start and Finish: Start and finish will be on 29th Street near Park Pavilion #5.
• Date: 2025-04-26.
• Address: 2900 Benton Street, Granite City, IL.

📝 Registration Details

• Registration Fee: $30 for ages 19+, $10 for ages 6-18, 5 & under free. Registration includes a t-shirt for those who register by April 10th.
• Non-Refundable: Registration cost is non-refundable.
• Registration Deadline: Online registration will be available until 11:59pm on April 23rd.
• Race Check-In: Race Day from 8am-9am on 29th Street near Park Pavilion #5. Walk-in registrants welcome.

⏰ Event Timeline

• Check-In Time: 8am-9am.
• Welcome & Intro: 9:15am.
• Race Kickoff: 5K & Fun Run Kickoff at 9:30am.
• Competitive Awards: Offered only to 5K participants and only those ages 6 & over.

🥇 Awards and Finisher Medals

• Medals: Both 5K and Fun Run participants of all ages will receive finisher's medals.
• Award Categories: Competitive award categories include Overall male and female, plus medals for the top 2 male and female finishers in each competitive race: 6-9, 10-14, 15-18, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+.
• Participation: Runners ages 5 & under are welcome to run in the 5K with their family or be pushed in a stroller but do not qualify for competitive age group awards.
• Registration Includes: Refreshments and kids' activities included in registration fee.

T-Shirt 👕 Information

• Size Guarantee: T-shirts and sizes are guaranteed for those who complete online registration on or before April 10th.
• Late Registrants: Any registration after that date will not be guaranteed a t-shirt but extra shirts will be provided if available for late registrants on a first come, first serve basis.

🎟️ Basket Raffle

• Drawing Tickets: Purchase tickets morning of race for a chance to enter a drawing for the basket/baskets of your choice!
• Contents: Baskets will be filled with fun items, gift cards, and/or other exciting offerings!

📸 Photo Disclaimer

• Photography: There will be a photographer on site capturing pictures of the event.
• Usage: Photos may also be used in promotional materials and on our social media or agency website.

🚫 Cancellation Policy

• Weather Cancellation: Should we need to cancel due to inclement weather or circumstances beyond our control, registration fee is non-refundable and will become a donation to benefit children in our programs.
• Notification: In the event of last-minute cancellation, we will do our best to notify pre-registrants before their arrival.
