🍩 Race Overview
- Purpose: In honor of Child Abuse Prevention Month, Brightpoint (formerly Children's Home & Aid) and the Granite City Police Department invite you to participate in our race to end child abuse.
- Proceeds: Benefit the programs and services offered by the Southern Region of Brightpoint.
- Event Type: Our 5th Annual Kids & Cops Doughnut Run features both a competitive 5K and a non-competitive 1 Mile Walk/Run.
- Activities: Enjoy refreshments, music, kids' activities, the opportunity to explore first response vehicles, and a photo opportunity with our mascot, The GIANT Doughnut Man!
🌟 Event Location
- Location: Wilson Park in Granite City, IL.
- Start/Finish: 29th Street near Park Pavilion #5.
🏃♂️ Registration Information
- Fees: $30 for ages 19+, $10 for ages 6-18, free for ages 5 & under.
- Registration Perks: Registration includes a t-shirt for those who register by April 11th, as well as refreshments and kids' activities.
- Deadline: Online registration available until 11:59pm on April 24th: after this, register on-site on race morning.
- Check-In: Race Day from 8am-9am on 29th Street near Park Pavilion #5.
⏰ Event Timeframes
- Check-In: 8am-9am.
- Welcome & Intro: 9:15am.
- Race Kickoff: 9:30am for both the 5K and Fun Run.
🏅 Awards and Medals
- Competitive Awards: Offered only to 5K participants ages 6 & over: includes overall male and female winners.
- Categories: Top 2 male and female finishers in age groups: 6-9, 10-14, 15-18, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+.
- Finisher's Medals: Available to 5K and Fun Run participants of all ages.
👕 T-Shirts
- Guarantee: T-shirts and sizes guaranteed for those who register by April 11th.
- Late Registration: Extra shirts available on a first-come, first-serve basis after this date.
🎟️ Basket Raffle
- Tickets: Purchase tickets on the morning of the race for a chance to win baskets filled with fun items and gift cards.
📸 Photo Disclaimer
- Photography: A photographer will be present at the event: photos may be posted on our social media and used for promotional purposes.
⚠️ Cancellation Policy
- Non-Refundable: If canceled due to inclement weather, registration fees will become a donation to benefit children.
- Notification: We will attempt to notify pre-registrants of any last-minute cancellations via our event page.
