Keep the Parade Running 5K Run/1 Mile Fun Walk

🎉 Event Overview

• Support the Community: By signing up for this event, you'll support the 4th of July celebration in Glenside, hosted by the Greater Glenside Patriotic Association (GGPA)! This day includes fun events from morning to night—including our parade, which has been a community tradition for over 120 years.
• Help Preserve Tradition: We need your help to keep our cherished parade and beautiful fireworks display a part of the Greater Glenside area for generations to come.
• Event Purpose: All proceeds from your participation in 'Keep the Parade Running' will ensure the continuation of this time-honored Glenside 4th of July event.
• We Can't Wait: We can't wait to see you there!

🏃‍♂️ Race Details

• Start/Finish Location: Both the run and walk will start and finish at the North Penn VFW Post 676 of Glenside, located at 2519 Jenkintown Road, Glenside, PA.
• Course Description: The run will take two loops through the scenic streets of Glenside with a few rolling hills throughout the course to provide just enough of a challenge to satisfy any level of runner.
• Exclusive Qualification: AND THIS RACE IS THE EXCLUSIVE WAY TO QUALIFY FOR 'FASTEST ON THE FOURTH' RACE ON JULY 4!
• Top Runners: The top 25 runners in each gender category will qualify for the 'Fastest on the Fourth' sprint race (approximately 1.4 miles), held immediately before the annual Glenside parade on July 4, 2025.

🏅 Awards and Registration

• Entry Fee: $30.00 if registered by March 23rd to receive a race shirt. The fee for entrants registered after March 23rd, including Race Day, is $35.00. Shirts may be available to those registering after March 23rd depending on availability.
• Awards: Medals will be presented to the top 3 overall runners in each gender category. Age group award medals (top runner in each gender category) will also be presented.
• Results: The race will be professionally timed by the Bryn Mawr Racing Company - results will be found at www.brynmawrracing.com immediately following the race.
• Teams: Team registrations will offer a discounted rate until race day! Teams may consist of any combination of runners/walkers but must contain at least 5 members.
