Island Montessori Tinted Turtle Trot

🏃‍♂️ Race Overview

• Event: Island Montessori School will hold the 10th Annual Tinted Turtle Trot 5k and 1 Mile Run on Sunday, March 23rd at Mike Chappell Park in Carolina Beach.
• Features: This year’s event features a Kids’ Dash for younger participants as well as 5K and 1-mile races.
• Milestone Celebration: We are celebrating this milestone event with a colorful and limited-edition shirt and many other fun touches!
• Registration: Participants can register before March 6th to be guaranteed a shirt.

📝 Registration Details

• No-Shirt Option: This year registration will offer a no-shirt option for a $5 discount. Please select "No Shirt" on the giveaway page during registration to receive that discount at checkout.
• Current Status: Registration is currently open, with discounts provided to school, athletic, corporate, and community teams.
• Awards Ceremony: An awards ceremony will be held at our After Race Party at Good Hops Brewing in Carolina Beach after the 5K.
• After Race Party: Food will be available for purchase at the After Race Party (details coming).

💰 Cost of Registration

• 5k: $30 until March 6th, $35 March 7- March 22, $40 on Race Day.
• 1-Mile: $20 until March 6th, $25 March 7th-Race Day.
• KIDS' DASH: $10 - with shirt, $5 - No shirt.
• Note: Shirt size guaranteed if registered before March 6th!

Trophies 🏆 Awards

• 5K Awards: Overall M/F 1st-3rd place, Age groups M/F 1st-3rd place 9&U, 10-13, 14-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60&Over.
• 1-Mile Awards: Overall M/F 1st-3rd place, Age groups M/F 1st-3rd place 5&U, 6-9, 10-13.
• KIDS' DASH: Finisher's ribbon.
• TEAM AWARDS:
  • Category #1 - Largest team - get as many people as you can to sign up on your team to earn the team award.
  • Category #2 - Most fundraising - Under the Donate tab, click Become a Fundraiser and have your team raise the most money for IMS to earn the team award.

• Proceeds: Proceeds of the race will benefit Island Montessori School – the only free and public Montessori education offered in New Hanover County.
