Foster the Family GR is looking forward to hosting their annual Foster the Family 5K and Family Fun Day on Saturday, June 7, 2025, at Riverside Park, Grand Rapids, MI.

❤️ Mission

Foster the Family GR provides immediate emergency support and long-term holistic care to foster families and children in the Grand Rapids area. Our dedicated staff and team of committed volunteers deliver practical necessities to the doorstep of a foster family immediately after the placement of a child in the home.

• Foster Care Packages: Provide everything the child needs, from pajamas and clothing to hygiene necessities and comfort items, as well as a meal for the entire family.
• Wraparound Care: We provide support to foster parents and family through community, education, and special events.
• Networking: With a growing network of families, our team works tirelessly to bring local foster families the support they need and deserve.

• Packet pick up: 8:00 am
• Timed 5K: 9:30 am
• 13 & Under Fun Run: 9:00 am
• Family Fun Day: 10:00 am

🎉 Fundraising Opportunity

NEW IN 2024! Fund-raise and receive free registration and more!

• 5K Participants: Raise $150 and you will receive a $35 credit for your registration.
• Fun Run Participants: Raise $100 and you will receive a $10 credit for your registration.
• Fundraising Setup: You will be prompted in the sign up to set up your fundraising page that can be shared on all social media platforms. If you want a physical pledge sheet, one can be provided for you.
• Prize Drawing: Raise more than $150 and be placed into a drawing for gift cards, Foster the Family swag, and so much more!

5K/Fun Run

• 5K Adult: $35 (includes commemorative T-shirt and general admission to Family Fun Day)
• Fun Run (for 13 & Under ONLY): $10 (includes commemorative T-shirt and general admission to Family Fun Day)

🎟️ Family Fun Day Registration

Join us for the Family Fun Day activities.

• General Admission: $10 (t-shirt and participation in the 5K and Fun Run are NOT included)

🏆 Awards

Awards will be given to the overall top 3 male and female finishers and top 3 male and female 13 & under finishers.

🤝 Community Impact

We believe that everyone has a role to play in caring for these children and families and are passionate about connecting businesses, individuals, and groups in the community to the foster families in need of their support. At our annual Foster the Family 5K Fundraiser and Fun Run, we are excited to connect with local foster and adoptive families and the community for a day of fun while raising support to continue our work.
