End of the Road Half Marathon & 4 Miler

🏃‍♂️ Race Overview

Now in its eighteenth year, hundreds of athletes have come from all over the US to run this unique event! This stretch of the Pennsylvania Turnpike was bypassed in 1968, leaving 2 tunnels and miles of road untouched by traffic for nearly 50 years! You will get an opportunity to spend 5 miles of your race underground in the old tunnels, so a headlamp or flashlight is required!

Trivium has partnered with the Bedford Fulton Joint Recreation Authority in order to raise funds to develop this abandoned road into a greenway so that runners and bikers can enjoy the route for years to come. Come race the original old turnpike half marathon!

📅 Event Details

• Date: 2025-10-18
• Location: 3005 Pump Station Rd, Waterfall, PA
• Half Marathons: Two Half Marathons - one on Saturday and one Sunday.
• Additional Race: Tunnel 4 Mile race on Sunday.

👥 Participants

• Capacity: Each day of racing will be limited to 500 runners.
• Amy's note: This ensures more athletes can enjoy the course without crowding.
• Racer Requirements: A headlamp or flashlight is required for this event as there are no lights in the tunnels you will run through!
