Conquer the Cave 5K

🕳️ Cave Experience

• Cave Entrance: Runners enter the crown jewel of caves in the Southeast at the 1.9 mile mark.
• Cave Portion: An out and back 0.6mi segment that accommodates 2 way traffic.
• Glow Sticks: Runners will receive a glow stick at the turnaround point.
• Lighting: Decorative lighting will be on at all times inside the cave.

• Average Temperatures: Low of 54F, high of 79F on race day.
• Cave Temperature: A cool 58F year-round.
• Unique Experience: This will truly be a race like no other.

📦 Packet Pickup Details

• Date: Saturday, September 21st
• Time: 12pm-5pm
• Location: RunningLane, 2407 Memorial Pkwy SW, Huntsville, AL 35801
• Race Day Pickup: Available from 10:00AM-1:00pm: please arrive 1 hour before your wave start.

⏱️ Race Heats

• Multiple Waves: We will have multiple heats of 200 runners each.
• Start Times: Each wave will start 30 minutes after the first.
• Example Schedule:
  • 11:30am: 1st Wave
  • 12:00pm: 2nd Wave
  • 12:30pm: 3rd Wave
  • 1:00pm: 4th Wave
  • 1:30pm: 5th Wave
• Wave Selection: Ensure you check with family and friends about which wave to register for to run/walk together.
