• Race Options: USATF-sanctioned 5K, 1-Mile Challenge Run, 1K Family Fun Run
• Organizer: University Park Elementary School (UPES) Parent Teacher Association

Join the University Park, MD community on Saturday May 10, 2025, for family-friendly fun and fitness! The Azalea Classic has a race for everyone! All proceeds benefit programs at the school. It will take place rain or shine. Dogs and strollers welcome.

📝 Registration Information

• Early Registration: 5K racers by April 19 pay $30 plus processing fees
• Price Increase: 5K costs $35 on April 20, $45 on packet pick-up day, and $50 race day
• 1K and 1-Mile: $15 until race day: increases to $25 on race day
• Discount: $5 off for groups of four or more: discounts for multiple events

👕 Sponsorship Opportunities

• Family Sponsor: Donate $120 or more to get your name on the back of the shirt
• Registration Option: Donation/sponsorship available during the registration process
• Donation: Click "donate" on the registration page to sponsor
• Deadline: Family sponsors accepted until April 19

📅 Race Week Details

• Packet Pick-Up: May 9 from 2pm to 6:30pm & May 10 from 7am until race begins
• Shirt Distribution: First-come-first-served basis during packet pick-up
• Street Closures: Beginning at 7am along the race route
• Parking: Available on various blocks, but walking and biking encouraged

Runners, walkers, and town residents should be prepared for street closures, but we encourage everyone to walk, bike, and/or take public transportation whenever possible.
