Albert Rivera Menudo Run

Event Overview

For over 40 years, the Al Rivera Menudo Run 5K/10K has reached athletes, novices, family, friends, and community members. This event historically begins on a beautiful August morning at Whittier Narrows "Legg Lake" Park. This year's event will feature:

• 5k Run: A race for all skill levels.
• 10k Run: A more challenging option for experienced runners.
• Fun Run: A relaxed run for everyone.
• Kiddy Run: A special event for young participants.

Awards and Categories

Medals will be awarded to the top 3 male and female finishers in both the 5k and 10k in each of the following age divisions:

• Age Divisions: 0-14, 15-18, 19-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-79+.
• Fun Run and Kiddy Run: No awards are given for these categories.
• Team Event: The top 3 teams will receive a trophy.
• Participation: Open to all community members.

Participant Benefits

ALL participants will receive a bowl of menudo, and participants that are 21+ will also receive a beer. Make sure to bring your ID for your free beer!
