🏃‍♂️ Race Overview

Now in its tenth year, this 6.2-mile run/walk follows beautiful “Billy Mills Trail,” the championship cross country course at Haskell Indian Nations University, alma mater of Olympic Legend Billy Mills, still the only American ever to win gold at 10,000 meters. The course is carefully maintained and safe for runners of all ability levels. (A popular virtual option is also offered for Billy Mills fans across the country and around the globe to participate.)

🌐 Virtual Option

Participation: Receive a long-sleeve race shirt and official finisher’s medal for your commitment to walk or run 6.2 miles during the months of October or November. Submitting results is not required.
- Shipping is included to addresses outside Lawrence, KS: items will ship in mid-October, after the running of the in-person race.
- Virtual participants residing in Lawrence, KS, once notified, can pick up their shirt & medal in person at Ad Astra Running, 835 Massachusetts, during regular store hours (M-F 10-7, Sat 10-5, Sun 12-5).

📦 Packet Pick-Up

Saturday, October 11th, 12:00-5:00pm at Ad Astra Running (835 Massachusetts, Lawrence, KS).
(Out-of-towners ONLY: Sunday, October 12th, 7:00-7:20am at race course finish line).

💵 Entry Fees

In-Person Race:
- Now - Mar. 17th, 2025: Adults $40, Students (K-12) $25.
- Mar. 18th - June 30th: Adults $45, Students (K-12) $30.
- July 1st - Sept. 26th: Adults $50, Students (K-12) $35.
- Sept. 27th - Oct. 11th: Adults $55, Students (K-12) $40.
Virtual Race: (NOTE: Items will ship Oct. 2025)
- Now - Sept. 26th, 2025: $55 (All Ages).
