Where the River Runs 10 Mile Trail Race - May 03, 2025 - Shenango Trail.

This event is proudly offered by Shenango River Watchers, located in Hermitage, PA.

🌳 Trail Experience

• Setting: Enjoy the beautiful woods of western Pennsylvania, while running alongside the 2021 River Of The Year, the Shenango River.
• Course: This trail race will take place on the beautiful Shenango Trail, which has a rich history dating back to the 1800s.
• Route: The course will be point to point, starting at the Big Bend trail head, and finishing at the beautiful Kidds Mill Covered Bridge.
• Accessibility: Ideal for beginners looking to try trail running, and a great course for seasoned runners seeking a flat, fast workout!

📝 Registration Information

• No Race Day Registration: There will be no Race Day registration.
• Deadline: Register by April 15th to receive a t-shirt guaranteed the size you want with your registration.
• Closing Date: Registration closes April 30th.

🚍 Race Day Logistics

• Check-in Time: Participants MUST be at the sign-in location by 8:00 AM to guarantee race participation.
• Sign-in Location: Reynolds High School - 531 Reynolds Rd, Greenville, PA 16125.
• Shuttle Service: A shuttle will take you to the starting line at Big Bend and bring you back to your car from the finish line at Kidds Mill.
• Shuttle Schedule: Buses will leave Reynolds High School to transport runners to the starting line at 8:00 and 8:30.

🏃 Course Details

• Length: The course will be roughly 10 miles in length, running north to finish at the Kidds Mill Covered Bridge.
• Elevation: The course is very flat with only a little over a 100 ft of elevation gain.
• Footing: While the trail is flat, footing can be technical with many exposed roots along the dirt single-track trail.
• Weather Consideration: Be prepared for potential stream crossings and muddy areas depending on weather conditions.

🚰 Hydration and Nutrition

• Aid Stations: There will be three aid stations along the course.
• First Aid Station: A water-only stop roughly 2.5 miles in.
• Second Aid Station: At the halfway point of the race, roughly at 4.5 miles, at the New Hamburg road crossing. All runners will be REQUIRED TO CHECK IN here.
• Third Aid Station: Roughly mile 7, with water and various nutrition available.
