Pronghorn Pursuit Trail Run

🏃‍♂️ Race Overview

Beaverhead Trails Coalition (BTC) teamed up with the Beaverhead County High School (BCHS) Cross Country team in 2019 to bring the first Pronghorn Pursuit Trail Run to the Dillon Community. This is the 6th annual event where a 5K and 15K trail run located on the BTC’s High Trails just outside of Dillon takes place. In 2025 we are hoping to get our name along with other top races in the state. Plan a weekend in Dillon, MT to attend this race and enjoy our trails.

🌄 Course Details

• Location: High Trails System, Dillon, MT
• 15K Course: 90% single-track with 2400’ of climbing
• 5K Course: Similar technical mix with views, and some steeper sections climbing over 500’
• Experience: Last kilometer of both races is all downhill and smiles

We invite you to visit our community, because we are a fun loving and hard working people. Dillon is located in Beaverhead County, which is home to a truly diverse group of Montanans, and totals close to three and half million acres. With room to roam, outdoor recreation abounds. Dillon is unique: it is a thriving small town that supports literally every type of small business including our local beloved flower shops, bookstores and eclectic coffee shops. We can’t wait to see your smiling faces the weekend of June 7th!

📝 Registration Details

• T-shirts: Not included in pre-registration, available as an add-on
• Pickup: T-shirts ordered before May 20th available at the race
• Food and Awards: Follows the races at the Trailhead: Runners are admitted free, spectators pay $5.00
• Packet Pickup: Early packet pick-up and late registration from 3 PM to 6 PM the day before the race at the Patagonia Outlet store

⏰ Race Day Information

• Start Times: 15K starts at 8:00 AM, 5K starts at 8:45 AM
• Chip Timing: Races will be chip timed by Butte Track Club
• Registration Deadline: Must be completed 30 minutes before races begin
• Track Changes: The track may change for the 15K: updates will be made on the race page

T-shirts are not included in pre-registration this year. We lowered the price and have t-shirts as an add-on during the registration process. Those purchased afterwards will be available for pickup at Big Tyme in Dillon or can be shipped for a small shipping fee.
