Foy's to Blacktail Trail Marathon

🏔️ Race Overview

• Event: Join us for our 7th year of our point-to-point mountain marathon showcasing the newest trails on the Foy's to Blacktail Trail system!
• Capacity: Maximum 100 sign ups allowed, so sign up soon!
• Gathering Time: Racers will gather at Herron Park at 5:45 a.m. for a pre-race meeting and bib assignment.
• Transportation: Participants will be bussed to the start at Lakeside to Blacktail Trail.

🗺️ Course Details

• Post-Race Gathering: We are planning to have a get together at Bias Brewing in Kalispell from 6-8 p.m. after the race.

🎁 Giveaways

• Eligibility: All runners will be eligible for a random giveaway of a $100 bill and potentially a few other goodies like a pair of running shoes!

🐻 Safety Guidelines

• Bear Spray: Remember to bring your bear spray. All racers must race with it because there is a real risk of running into wildlife such as bears and/or mountain lions that may feel threatened and get aggressive.
• Awareness: Even those at the back of the pack need to be aware of startling any of these charismatic megafauna.

⏰ Cut Off Time

• Time Limit: There will be a strict 12 pm cut off time to reach the Emmons Saddle aid station.
• Pacing: You will need to be moving at an average pace of >3 mph to meet this cut off.

💰 Fundraising Purpose

• Long-Running Fundraiser: This race, along with the Herron Half Marathon, 10k, & 5k trail races, are our longest-running annual fundraisers.
• Contribution: The money raised from the races goes directly to building and maintaining trails in the 34-mile FTBT system.
• Support: In addition to event fees, our trails thrive largely in part to our dedicated sponsors.
