🐢 Race Overview

This ain’t your momma’s Big Turtle. This is the NEW and IMPROVED Big Turtle 2.0 trail race. 50 Miler for those wanting to go long. 50K for the ultrarunner who wants to be done in time for supper. 10 Miler for anyone wanting to try trail running for the first time without the pain and suffering of an ultra.

🗺️ What's New in 2025?

• New Location: New start and finish line location! We’ve moved our race further onto Morehead State University’s campus, and we’ll be staging our race in the plaza next to the Student Center.
• Proximity: We’re right behind Sawstone Brewing and in the heart of downtown Main Street!

⛰️ 50 Mile Route Changes

• Rerouted Portions: We’ve rerouted portions of the 50 Mile route to give an extra aid station and an EXTRA CLIMB!
• Extra Aid Station: Enough people complained about having to run 10 miles between aid stations (boo freaking hoo), so we routed the course down onto Elk Lick Road to give you an extra aid station.
• Double Climb: Now you get to climb down and back up to the ridge TWICE more.
• Challenge: You’re welcome! Now let’s see who has what it takes to beat the Big Turtle!
