📜 Backyard Format Rules

• Yard Definition: 100 miles divided into 24 hours, with each "yard" being 4.167 miles
• Start Time: New yard starts every hour, on the hour: be back in the corral to continue
• Personal Area: Runners and crew can set up around the start/finish course-line
• Warning Signals: 3-minute, 2-minute, and 1-minute warnings before each new yard

🔑 Competition Guidelines

• Corral Requirement: Runners must be in the starting corral before the top of the hour
• No Non-Competitor Aid: No outside assistance is allowed on the course
• Aid Restrictions: Runners carry their own aid: no artificial aids permitted
• Completion Rules: Must check out with the race director if unable to continue

💡 Cash Prize Rules

• Winners Definition: Must complete one more yard than everyone else to be declared a winner
• Second-Payer: No payout for second place if multiple are tied
• Silver Ticket: Opportunity to compete for national and world championships
• Application Notes: TROT has applied for a 2025 Silver Ticket: Bronze tickets earned for this year
