🏃♂️ Event Overview
This is the first Annual 5K Race hosted by the H.C. Wilcox National Honor Society Chapter. The race will begin at Dossin's Beach in Meriden, CT and continue along the Gorge Trail portion of the Meriden Linear Trail.
🌊 Race Details
- Course Type: An out-and-back route, with one water stop provided at the half-way point.
- Scenery: The course includes scenic views of the Quinnipiac River.
- Parking: There is limited parking at the Red Bridge and Dossin's Beach. Overflow parking will be at H.C. Wilcox Technical High School.
💰 Proceeds Distribution
- Wounded Warrior Project: 70%
- H.C. Wilcox National Honor Society: 30%
⏱️ Timing Information
Timing for the course will be manual (done by stopwatch), based on start time (no electronic timing). Results will be posted via google sheets at the conclusion of the race.
🏆 Awards
Awards for the top 3 male and top 3 female finishes will be offered.
📅 Registration Information
- Day-of-Registration: May be offered, but the course is capped at 100 participants.
