24th Annual Covington Cheerios® Challenge

🏃‍♂️ Race Overview

The 24th annual Covington Y Cheerios® Challenge is a fundraiser for the Covington Y's Annual Campaign, which helps make Y programs accessible to all families and children in our community. Registration for the 1 mile, 5k, and 10k races includes a t-shirt. Participation medals will be given for the Trix Tot Trot. Age group and overall winner awards will be presented for the 1 mile, 5k, and 10k races.

🎉 Post-Race Festival

After the race, join us for the post-race festival featuring live music, free food, local vendors, and activities for kids. You may even see the Trix Rabbit or Cheerios® Honey Bee!

🌟 Support the Community

Running in the Covington Y Cheerios® Challenge helps ensure that every child can participate in Y programs like youth sports, swim lessons, and summer day camp. Your race registration fee supports the YMCA's WHY IT MATTERS Annual Campaign. Financial assistance, funded through the Annual Campaign, is available based on need for all Y programs. The Y actively seeks to identify and involve those in need. The Cheerios® Challenge is the Covington Y's largest fundraiser for the WHY IT MATTERS Annual Campaign.

• Date 1: Friday, April 18, 2025 - 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM
• Date 2: Saturday, April 19, 2025 - 7:00 AM to 8:30 AM

📅 Race Day Schedule

• 8:00 AM: 1 Mile Fun Run Start
• 8:30 AM: 10K & 5K Start
• 9:30 AM: Trix Tot-Trot (on Legion Field)
• Awards: The Award Ceremony will happen in front of the Legion Field stage at the conclusion of the 5K.

🏆 Awards for 10K & 5K

• Categories: OVERALL male and female, MASTERS male and female, GRAND MASTERS male and female, SR. GRAND MASTERS winner
• Ages: 1st, 2nd, 3rd place male/female in age groups ranging from 10 & Under to 80 & up

🏅 Awards for 1-Mile Fun Run

• Overall: Boy and Girl
• Ages: 1st, 2nd, 3rd place boy and girl in age groups 6 & Under, 7 & 8, 9 & 10, and 11 & 12
