The Annual Sickle Cell 5K Run/Walk is the Martin Center Sickle Cell Initiative’s (MCSCI) signature fundraising event—bringing together runners, walkers, families, and community champions to support hundreds of individuals across Central Indiana living with sickle cell disease.

Proceeds from the event directly fund critical services, including:

• Education and advocacy: Funding for educational programs and outreach.
• Family and caregiver support: Assistance for families affected by sickle cell disease.
• Food assistance: Providing vital food resources for those in need.
• Transportation aid: Helping families reach their medical appointments.

• $30: Provides a one-month supply of Gatorade to help a client stay hydrated during crisis episodes.
