Fool's Run 10K & 5K

🏃‍♂️ Event Overview

• Date: Saturday, April 5, 2025
• Location: Saylor Park, Black Lick, Pennsylvania, on the Ghost Town Trail
• Anniversary: 46th Anniversary of the 10K, first conducted in 1979
• Popularity: The 5K was added in 2015 and has proven to be very popular

🏅 Awards and Medals

• Finishers' Medals: Provided through the courtesy of IRRC member Bill Leydic
• Awards: Overall and age group awards will be presented
• Ceremony: Awards will be presented at the pavilion following the race
• Categories: Include top three male and female finishers, top male and female masters, and top three age group winners

🚩 Course Details

• Trail: The Ghost Town Trail is a favorite among local runners
• Format: Both the 10K and 5K will be out-and-back with the finish near the pavilion at Saylor Park
• Eligibility: Runners and walkers are welcome and eligible for awards
• Safety: No separate walker awards: no road crossings, making it ideal for all family members

👕 Race Shirts

• Guarantee: Race shirts are guaranteed for those preregistered by March 26, 2026
• Availability: Shirts available after that date and on race day as supplies last
• Sponsors: Shirts courtesy of S & T Bank and Indiana Regional Medical Center

📝 Registration Information

• Online Registration: Closes at 11:59 PM on Wednesday, April 2nd
• Race Day Registration: Available starting at 8:30 AM at Saylor Park
• Family Registration: Available for three or more runners or walkers from the same household

⏱️ Race Day Logistics

• Timing: Professional timing will be provided by David Mapes Timing Service of Somerset
• Water: Provided on the course and at the finish
• Restrictions: For safety and insurance reasons: No baby strollers or dogs
