• Open to All: Open/Community to Elite/Pro Heats
• Sanctioned Event: USATF sanctioned - open to all runners who can maintain a 10:00 pace or faster.
• Heats: Seeded based on qualifying times (high school/college runners can run in pro heats).
• Prize Money: Prize money for the Webb Mile! (amount TBD)

👦Youth Participation

• Free Youth Mile: Youth Mile (13 & under) is free!
• Weather Policy: In case of inclement weather, races will be delayed until otherwise impossible.

🎉Event Atmosphere

Welcome to the second annual Down the Stretch Track Fest at George Mason University in Fairfax, VA on May 24. We are moving the meet from a Friday to a Saturday - so we can add more heats of the open mile & 5000 plus the 4x800m relay and amp up the fun! You can expect a high-energy atmosphere with music all night, food trucks, Aslin beer, and announcers with a mix of community and pro races. We are building some tremendous pro fields for the Webb Mile, 5000 and 10000. Come grab a PR in the 800, mile or 5000, and then sit back and watch an incredible night of racing under the stars.

🗓️Race Schedule

• 5:10: Open Mile (10:00 cutoff)
• 6:10: Free Youth Mile (15:00 cutoff)
• 6:25: Open 5000 (30:00 cutoff)
• 7:50: 4x800 Relay (12:00 / 3:00 avg per leg cutoff)
• 8:35: Select 5k
• 9:20: Webb Mile
• 9:35: Select 10k

Open races are men's, women's and nonbinary combined

Select heats & Webb Mile are women's followed by men's
