The Piermont Fire 5K - raising money and supporting Volunteer Fire and EMS in Rockland County and the Lower Hudson Valley! Come join us for a beautiful walk run along the Piermont Pier overlooking the Hudson River!

🎉 Event Purpose

The Piermont Fire 5K is an event to support, help recruit new members, and raise money for our participating Charity Partners. The Empire Hose Company #1 (aka Piermont Fire Department) created the event to kick off its 175th-year anniversary celebration. 2026 will be our 175th year serving our community.

• Support: We want to support our mutual aid partners in the Fire & EMS services.
• Volunteer Organizations: Dedicate time to respond to calls, train members, and manage organizations.
• Challenges: Fundraising often takes a back seat to other priorities.
• Recruitment: Recruiting new members continues to be challenging.

🌅 Event Schedule

• 5K Run: Starts at 9:00 am
• 5K Walk: Starts at 9:00 am - line up behind runners
• Kid's 100 yard dash: Starts at 10:00 am
• Fun Run Info: 100 yard dash for children ages 8 and under - age is a general guideline.

🏅 Age Categories

• Kid's 100 yard dash: For children ages 8 and under
• 5K Run: Categories include 14 and under, 15-19, 20-24, up to 70 and over
• 5K Walk: No prizes, no age categories

🏆 Prizes and Awards

• Overall Fastest 5K: Male/Female
• Fastest Firefighter: Male/Female
• Fastest EMT: Male/Female
• Kid's 100-yard dash: All participants receive medals

👕 Event T-Shirts

All 5K runners and walkers will receive a custom event T-shirt – size availability may vary – additional shirts available for purchase. We'll do our best to have sizes for everyone, but please know we may run out of popular sizes – late registrations may not get their first size choice.
