Huebner Elementary PTA Fiesta 5k and 1k Fun Run at NEISD Sports Park

🎉 Welcome to the Fiesta!

Viva Fiesta! Join us for our 10th Annual Fiesta 5k & Fun Run to benefit Huebner Elementary PTA! This is a family-friendly and dog-friendly community-wide event, with the goal of raising money for Huebner Elementary PTA, a proud NEISD school. We invite runners and walkers of all ages to make this event a success! Our PTA provides many important programs for Huebner Elementary School, including:

• Staff Appreciation: Recognition and support for our dedicated staff.
• Safety Funding: Initiatives for improved safety at our school.
• Field Trips: Annual educational outings for every student.
• Campus Improvements: Enhancements to our school environment and facilities.

• Race Day Registration: Begins at 7:00 AM
• Performances: 7:30 AM
• 1k Start Time: 8:00 AM
• 5k Start Time: 8:30 AM

You must register by March 25th to receive "Early Bird" pricing, and to be guaranteed an awesome dri-fit t-shirt.

😴 Can't Join Us on Race Day? That's Okay!

Sign up for a Siesta (Sleep-in) and you’ll get a cool shirt, but don’t have to do all that running (or walking). See below for when and where you can pick up your packet!

💖 Donate to Help-a-Husky

You’re a good person. Help us give an official Fiesta 5k shirt to a student who is not able to afford the race registration fee. With a $20.00 donation, a special Huebner Husky will receive an official 2025 Fiesta 5k shirt that he or she can wear with their class. In the words of our grateful students, "Thanks, bruh."

📦 Packet Pickup

All Huebner families will receive their packets through backpack mail by Wednesday, April 23, 2025.

Community members can pick up their packets at the following times:

• Thursday, April 24th: 9AM to 11AM at Huebner Elementary School (16311 Huebner Road)
• Saturday, April 26th: 7AM at NEISD Sports Park (12001 Wetmore Road)

🏁 Course and Timing Info

The Fiesta 5k will be a chip-timed event, using a "cross-country" or gun-time start. This course is an off-road, all-terrain course, with a few hills. Be prepared for the course, especially if you are considering bringing a pet or stroller. See the Course Map below. The NEISD Sports Park is open weekdays from 8AM to 4:45PM. Visitors are welcome to run the course anytime before the event, unless it is being used for official NEISD races.
