FOR THE PLANET & OUR KIDS’ FUTURE
This year marks the 55th anniversary of the environmental movement’s birth, commemorated annually as Earth Day. Since 1970, billions of individuals from more than 190 countries worldwide have come together every April 22nd to take action toward a greener, more sustainable future for our planet.
The CLEO Institute firmly believes that climate and environmental literacy, coupled with strong civic education, will create jobs, build a green consumer market and allow citizens to engage with their governments meaningfully to address the climate crisis. Join us on Sunday, April 27th as we come together as a community to celebrate Earth Day and highlight our environmental challenges and the solutions we must embrace. Raised funds will support climate resilience education in Miami-Dade through innovative campaigns, our Climate Resilient Schools programs in partnership with the Miami-Dade Public Schools STEAM department and our Empowering Resilient Women’s program geared to vulnerable communities in our county.
Date: Sunday, April 27, 2025
The event will be conveniently located at The Underline, Google Maps, situated at the intersection of Tamiami Trail and SW 1st CT: when you arrive, please walk North from the Brickell Metrorail Station.
The CLEO Institute is very excited to welcome everyone to this 5K Earth Day celebration! We look forward to sharing an array of educational information & presentations to raise community awareness regarding our changing climate & environment. So please take the time after your run or walk to stay around for the program and awards.
