ā¤ļø About Jude
- Inspiration: Run for Jude 5k is in honor of Jude Jawhar who battled Osteosarcoma for four years before she passed away at the age of 18.
- Motivation: Although Jude spent the majority of her teen years in the hospital going through multiple surgeries and chemotherapy treatments, she was an extremely motivated individual who had hopes of becoming a nurse to help other children going through a similar situation.
- Support: 100% of participant registrations/donations will be distributed between Johns Hopkins Hospital and The Jude Jawhar Scholarship for General Nursing at Towson University.
š„ Organizations
- Johns Hopkins Hospital: Pediatric Oncology Research. This organization works tirelessly to work with children going through cancer. Through community donations, the hospital works to further fund research projects with the hope of finding a cure for all cancers for all children.
- The Jude Jawhar Scholarship: For General Nursing at Towson University. This scholarship aims to honor Judeās ambitions of becoming a nurse during her time at Towson University. This scholarship uses its funds to provide financial support to future nurses.
