🎉 WHY THE "LITTLE EXTRA"?
GENETIC FACT: All people with Down syndrome have an extra, critical portion of chromosome 21 present in all or some of their cells.
COURSE ADJUSTMENT: Although 5Ks are usually 3.1 miles, our run will have an extra, optional .11 miles, making our 5K a 3.21 mile run - to celebrate the extra chromosome, hence "with a little extra".
EXPANSION: Over the years we have expanded our 5K to include a 10K and Half Marathon - all with a little extra!
