A Mile A Day For Jay is a 5K in honor of Jay Clemente who battled pancreatic cancer for 7 years. He fought courageously and always battled for one more day, to spend one more day with his family and see one more milestone of his children.

- Mission: Dedicated to providing for the humane treatment of dogs and cats in the Township of Wayne.
- Community Programs: Stimulates the public’s awareness and interest in the growth and improvement of the shelter.
- Animal Care: Each year the Shelter cares for almost 1,000 animals through adoption, spay/neuter, outreach, and education programs.
- Support Needed: Charitable donations, needed supplies, or volunteer services are critical to the Shelter's success.
