☕ Event Overview
Join us for the Coffee and Kilometers January MOVEment! Shake off the Winter Weather Blues with this fun run and climb event where we are partnering with the climbing gym NOSOTROS Lakewood!
🗓️ The Deets!
- When: Saturday, January 25
- Where: Lakewood High School Track at 1816 Bunts Rd, Lakewood, OH 44107
- Time: 8:30AM - Meet at Lakewood High School Track
- Climbing event: 10:15-10:30AM at NOSOTROS (you can come to this separately if you cannot make it to the run!)
☕ Post-Run Socializing
If you do not want to climb and keeping with the theme of our club, we will also be supporting Propaganda Coffee Lakewood (17806 Detroit Ave, Lakewood, OH 44107) so you can stop in after the run and socialize there!
💰 Costs and Benefits
- No cost: Our group continues to offer the option to move with us at no cost.
- Optional fee: A small $10 fee to support a local coffee shop and charity.
- Donation recipients: For January we will be supporting Propaganda Coffee and the local non-profit LAKEWOOD ALIVE.
🏞️ Climbing Discount
Also, Peter, owner of NOSOTROS is hooking us up with a great group discount for the climbing portion. Whoever decides to climb will only have to pay $10 that afternoon which includes climbing shoes, chalk, and access the rest of the day! For anyone who has not climbed before, instructors will be there to help us get started!
🏃♂️ January Group MOVE Details
The plan is once we all meet at the LHS Track, we will do a 1-mile easy warmup, then do our 1-mile time trial, and cool down with another easy mile. In total, we will move approximately 3-miles! You have the option to join us and not test either! You can also test how fast you can walk a mile as well! Remember, we welcome all forms of fitness and movement and want you out there with us, so if you cannot run, that is totally okay!!
Once we are done, I plan on heading over to Propaganda and picking up a coffee before we head over to NOSOTROS!

Nosotros Rock Climbing gym is at 14321 Detroit Ave. Lakewood. We're located in the basement of Lakewood Baptist Church. Free parking is available all around the church, and on the side street. Your cost is $10 per person. It includes your pass, shoes, and chalk. Since we have a big group, they may not have 10 pairs of size 8 or 10, so there’s a chance that you’ll have to climb in socks. Sorry, we don’t allow climbing in street shoes because they’re dirty. Once you arrive, they’ll give us all a tour, then each of us will pay and get shoes (if available). IMPORTANT: You must do a waiver before you arrive - CLICK HERE TO READ/SIGN WAIVER!

🌤️ Weather Considerations
Of course with it being end of January, weather may become a factor, so I will be keeping a close eye on that as well! I hope at worst, we cancel the run but can still safely meet for indoor climbing because I think this is a fun thing to do for some cross training!
