6th Annual Mangum Marathon & 1/2 Marathon

🏃‍♂️ Kick off 2025 with the 6th Annual Mangum Marathon & Half Marathon.

There is a 7-hour time limit for the marathon and a five-hour time limit for the 1/2.

Timed Events: Both events will be timed, with finisher medals to all that finish and Custom Engraved Tumblers to the overall Male/Female.
Finisher Medals: Everyone gets a Finisher Medal!
Awards: Awards for Overall Male/Female.
Age Group Awards: Top 3 Male/Female 0-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+.

Course Start: The course will start at the Dog Pen out in the boondocks, outside of Ellerbe, NC. You will run 2 miles, take a right, and then run 11.1 miles turnaround and run back to the finish.
Famous Climb: Boston has Heartbreak Hill, the Mangum Marathon has the famous climb to Bethel Church at around the 22-mile mark.
Half Marathon Turnaround: For the 1/2, you will turn around at the 6.55 mark and reverse back to the dog pen.
Location: The closest address to the Start/Finish is 869 Holly Grove Church Rd., Ellerbe, NC 28338.

Minimal Support: The course will have MINIMAL support. Please make sure you are equipped with all needed supplies.
Water Stops: The course will provide water bottle drop spots throughout the course and two manned water stops at the 6.5 mile mark and Half turnaround but make sure to bring what you need!
Premium Shirt: All participants will receive a long sleeve men's or women's PREMIUM Technical shirt.
Shirt Availability: Race shirts and medals are not guaranteed on race day for registrations after 1/6 but will be available after the race (1 week processing time).
