🚴‍♂️ Warthen Ride Event Details

Come enjoy wide open country roads as we explore Washington County, one of the largest land mass counties in the state. Also known as the Kaolin Capital of the World, you'll be able to see local mines that has been mined over the years which makes Kaolin the main industry driver of the county.

Warthen, while small in size, is home of Georgia’s Oldest Jail.

🛑 Rest Stops

• Gordy’s Barber Shop: 2nd oldest Black Owned Business in the county, started by Daniel Gordy in 1951.
• Gordy Grove COGIC: Located in the Gordy Grove Community along the Gordy Memorial Highway (Ga Hwy 272).

🍴 Food & Entertainment

• Food Vendors: Enjoy a variety of local food options.
• Live DJ: Groove to some great tunes throughout the event.
• Fellowship: Make new friends and connect with fellow participants.

Camping is available. FHU (RVs) and Tent Sites (W/E). Come make a weekend of it!

⚠️ Cancellation Policy

If the event is canceled due to the decision of the organizers (Warthen RV Park), restrictions of special events, or if Warthen RV Park feels it will be in the best interest of our participants not to hold the ride due to weather and other acts of God, we will adhere to the following Cancellation Guidelines:

• Canceled on or before May 10th, 2025: Each participant will receive a refund for the cost of registration minus any registration or refund fees.
• Canceled on or after May 10th, 2025: The race will be postponed until the following year.
• No Refunds: If the race is postponed until the following year, there will be no refunds given for the event.

🗓️ Event Schedule

Registration check-in will begin at 7 AM with the ride starting at 8 AM. Bring tents, lawn chairs, and whatever else to make the day comfortable.
