• Event: Put on your cape and become a hero for families in need at the Compassion in Action 5k!
• Costumes: This exciting event encourages participants to dress up as their favorite superheroes while running or walking through the scenic UCF campus.
• Community Spirit: Join us for a fun-filled day that combines fitness, community spirit, and support for a great cause!
• Support: Your participation will directly contribute to making a positive impact in our community.

• Beneficiary: All proceeds from the Compassion in Action 5k will benefit the Abilities Workshop.
• Program: Funds will support the "LoveABLE" program, which provides essential support to special needs families facing crises.
• Impact: Your participation makes a difference!
• Community Focus: Promote awareness and camaraderie for special needs families.

🏅 Event Details

• Activities: Alongside the 5K run, enjoy family-friendly activities and entertainment.
• Registration: Register now to secure your spot: all participants receive a race t-shirt and a finisher's medal.
• Inclusivity: Whether you run, walk, or cheer from the sidelines, your involvement makes a difference.
• Fun: Participants are encouraged to wear superhero costumes!

📅 Day of Event Schedule

• 7:30 a.m.: Registration & Pre-Registrations Opens
• 8:30 a.m.: 5K Race Start - Youth 5k Starts at the same time
• 9:30 a.m.: Kids run - no chip timing

👕 Tee Shirts

• Guarantee: Shirts are guaranteed for all pre-registered participants before November 25th.
• Availability: Once a shirt is sold out, it will be marked as sold out. Shirts are not guaranteed on race day.
• Pre-Registration: Pre-registered runners have priority for their preferred size.
• Limited Supply: Day-of participants may face limited sizes and availability.

🏃‍♂️ Day of Registration & Packet Pickup

Packet pickup will take place on race day from 6:30 a.m. to 7:45 a.m.

⏱️ Timing & Scoring

• Timing Method: Race will be timed and scored with a disposable chip attached to the back of the bib.
• Results: Official results will be posted for the top runners in each category.
• Electronics: A custom chip will be provided: personal chips are not permitted.
• Finish Line Clock: There will be a clock at the finish line to view your time.

🏆 Awards

• General Registrations: Top 3 Males and Top 3 Females
• Age Groups: Awards for top 3 in various age categories.
• Special Athletes: Top 3 Males and Top 3 Females will also receive recognition.

• Course Length: The 5K is 3.1 miles.
• Help on Course: Qualified emergency medical professionals are available for assistance.
• Pet Policy: Yes, you can participate with your dog.
• Refund Policy: No refunds will be issued.

Free parking is available at Garage D and Garage H, University of Central Florida, Orlando, FL 32816.
