John Wesley Holt Legacy Race

🏃‍♂️ Race Overview

• Pre-registration: Pre-registration for the John Wesley Holt Legacy Run ENDS, Wednesday, February 19 at midnight.
• On-site registration: Runners and walkers will be able to register in person on race day starting at 12 p.m. with an increase in cost.
• T-shirt guarantee: Only those who are pre-registered by February 19th are guaranteed a t-shirt.

🎉 Event Details

• Course: Spend the day celebrating the life of John Wesley Holt with a 5K course and Fun Run beginning and ending at St. Luke's Episcopal School in Mobile, Alabama.
• Participant inclusivity: Both 5K and Fun Run are available to both runners and walkers!
• Scholarship support: All proceeds from the 4JWH Run support the John Wesley Holt Scholarship Fund.
• About John Wesley Holt: John Wesley tragically lost his life in a hit and run accident on February 18th, 2023, and was a sophomore electrical engineering major at the University of South Alabama.

🏅 Awards and Recognition

• 5K awards: Top male and female overall.
• Age group awards: Adults (ages 15 - 75+): Top three males and females in 5-year age groups.
• Children's awards: Top three males and females in age groups 4 & under, 5-6, 7-8, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14.
• Awards ceremony: Light refreshments will be provided to race participants following the 5K Race.

• Food trucks: All proceeds will be given to the John Wesley Holt Foundation.
• Car Wash: A percentage from the car wash will also support the John Wesley Holt Foundation.

John Wesley Holt Legacy Race will take place rain or shine. Organizers reserve the right to cancel the event should the weather pose a danger to the safety of the participants and volunteers. Entry fees are not refundable and will be considered a donation to the John Wesley Holt Foundation.
