Freedom For Fighters 8th Annual Event to End Silent Suffering

🏃‍♂️ Event Overview

• Date: 2025-06-21
• 5K Start: Mountain Home Walking Path, East 8th Street
• 7 Mile Start: 1/2 Mile off of Bypass Road, West of the Granaries, Mountain Home, ID
• Race Link: Freedom For Fighters 5K Walk/Run

💖 Purpose

• Cause: Honor those with hidden wounds from PTSD and Depression.
• Presented by: The Jason Barney Family and the City of Mountain Home.
• Goal: Bring freedom to all who are fighting hidden battles and to END SILENT SUFFERING.
• Proceeds: Support veterans, first responders, abuse victims, and a healing ranch.

🎒 Participant Experience

• Backpacks: Participants can fill a backpack with canned goods at the race start.
• Weight Removal: Checkpoints to unload weight, aiming to finish free from burdens.
• Celebration: All participants will be celebrated at the finish line.
• Message: It’s about finishing the race, not racing to the finish!

🌐 Virtual Option

• Accessibility: Virtual Race for those unable to attend in person.
• Timeline: Complete the 5K between May 26, 2025, and July 19, 2025.
• Honor: Begins on Memorial Day to honor veterans.
• Sharing: Participants encouraged to post pictures and tag Freedom for Fighters.
