Valentine's Day 5k

💖 Race History

• Origin: The Valentine's Day 5K dates back to the 1980's when it was known as the "Serendipity Run".
• Grand Prix Inclusion: 1994 marked the race's first inclusion in the Arkansas RRCA Grand Prix Series.

🏆 Course Records

• Male Overall: Wayne Stanley - 15:14 (1992)
• Female Overall: Leah Thorvilson - 17:14 (2010)
• Male Masters: Tom Aspel - 15:52 (1996)
• Female Masters: Jen Found - 20:05 (2022)

🏃‍♂️ Course Description

• Start and Finish: The race starts and finishes at Russellville Junior High School.

❤️ Sweetheart Competition

• Team Up: A special feature of the Valentine's Day 5K is the chance to team up with a sweetheart for additional prizes!
• Married Division: Runners have the option of entering with their spouse in the Married Sweethearts Division.
• Unmarried Division: Alternatively, participants can team up with a "friend" in the Unmarried Sweethearts Division.
• Composite Times: The finishing times for the two Sweethearts will be added together to compete against other couples' composite times.
• Individual Impact: The Sweetheart competition is in addition to the male/female individual races and does not affect an individual's time, placing, or award in the overall race.
