🏃♂️ Race Overview
The Lake Area Turkey Trot 5K is a family tradition held on Thanksgiving morning at Camdenton High School. 2024 will be the 15th year for this event. It's attended by many families who want to kick their holiday off with some exercise, friendly competition and camaraderie.
👟 Fun Run Addition
- New Event: This year we are adding a one mile fun run for kids and adults who don't want to do the full 5k course.
- Start Time: The fun run begins at 7:45, the 5k at 8:30.
- Registration Open: Walk-up registration will open at 7:00am.
- Charity Support: Hosted by FundRuns and all profits go to Share the Harvest food pantry and Camdenton Cross Country team.
💵 Registration Costs
- 5k Registration Cost: Through November 26: $25 (no shirt provided).
- Race Day Cost: $30 (no shirt provided).
- Fun Run Registration Cost: Through November 26: $20 (no shirt provided).
- Fun Run Race Day Cost: $30 (no shirt provided).
📦 Packet Pickup
- Wednesday Pickup: Added evening packet pickup on Wednesday at Shortleaf Brewing, 311 Business Rt. 5 in Camdenton from 5:00-7:00pm.
- Morning Pickup: Race morning packet pickup starts at 7:00am at the high school, 662 Laker Pride Rd, Camdenton.
- On-Site Registration: On-site registration will also be available at those times for people that still want to join us.
👨👩👧👦 Family Discount
Because this is a family event, we want to make it as reasonable as possible. Register 4 or more people and save $15. You must register all 4 at the same time for the discount to be automatically applied.
🏅 Awards
- 5k Awards: Overall Male & Female winners receive a plaque, a cash prize & free race entry the following year.
- Division Awards: Men's and Women's Divisions awards are given in the following age groups: 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 and up.
- Gift Cards: First in each division receives a gift card. Second and third place receive a pie.
- Children's Medals: For boys and girls in the following age groups medals are given: 10 & under, 11-14.
