San Jacinto Texas Independence Fun Run

🏃‍♂️ Race Overview

The 14th Annual San Jacinto Texas Independence Fun Run will take place on Saturday, March 1, 2025, beginning at 7:00 AM. Join us to "Run the Battlefield!" and experience the historic grounds where Texas won its independence.

🏅 Race Options

• Choices: Participants can choose from a 10K run, 5K run, 5K walk, or a 1K Kids Run.
• Chip-Timed: The certified course will be chip-timed for the 10K and 5K events.
• Recognition: The top three male and female finishers in each running category will be recognized after the race.
• Start Times: 10K: 7:30 a.m.: 5K Run: 7:40 a.m.: 5K Walk: 7:45 a.m.: 1K Kids Run: 8:15 a.m.

💰 Registration Fees

Advance Registration Fees (before January 31, 2025) are:

• $30: 10K
• $25: 5K Walk/Run
• $20: 1K Kids

Registration Fees from Feb. 1 to Race Day are:

• $35: 10K
• $30: 5K Walk/Run
• $25: 1K Kids

VIRTUAL 5K / 10K: (shipping costs included):

• 10K: $40 / 5K: $35 / 1K Kids: $30 (before January 31, 2025)
• 10K: $45 / 5K: $40 / 1K Kids: $35 (after February 1, 2025)

📦 Packet Pick-Up

Packet pickup dates/times are listed below.

• Location: San Jacinto Museum and Battlefield, 1 Monument Circle, La Porte, TX 77571 (Packet pick-up located inside the Monument. Use the entrance facing the reflection pool).
• Dates: Thursday, Feb. 27 – 12 p.m.-5:00 p.m.: Friday, Feb. 28 – 12 p.m.-5:00 p.m.
• Day of Pickup: While there will be event day packet pickup, we strongly encourage participants to plan an early arrival.
• Closing Time: Packet Pick-Up on event day will conclude promptly at event start (7:30 a.m.).

👶 Who Can Participate?

💪 5K/10K Participation

• Open to All Ages: All ages can participate in the 5K/10K events, with ages 2 and under free to accompany a family member.
• Strollers Welcome: Strollers and walkers are also welcome, we just ask that you start in the back of the corral at event start.

🏃‍♀️ 1K Kids Fun Run Participation

• Age Limit: 1K Kids Fun Run is limited to children 12 and under.
• Parent Escort: One parent or guardian may escort the child along the route, but it is not required.
• Older Children in Front: Older children will be put in the front, and strollers are to be in the back.
• Caution Advised: We ask if you are pushing a stroller, be cautious of other children around you as you pass them.
