🎽 Event Overview
The Elkhart Education Foundation is excited to host the annual Ugly Sweater 5K Run/Walk and 1 Mile Sweater Stroll presented by NIBCO. This is a fun-filled event for all: the serious runner, the recreational jogger, walkers, and our furry friends.
📸 Photo Fun
- Photo Booth: Prior to the race, take some fun pics at Photo Booth.
- Ugliest Sweater Contest: Wear your tackiest sweater and you may win! (contest starts before the race).
☕ Finish Line Treats
At the finish line, enjoy hot chocolate, fruit, and cookies!
📅 Check-in and Registration
- When: Check-in and packet pickup / Onsite Registration begins on Friday, December 6 from 4:00 - 6:00 pm at Elkhart Health &: Aquatics in the Community Meeting Rooms.
- Saturday Registration: December 7 at NIBCO Water and Ice Park from 7:00 - 8:15am.
- Recommendation: We encourage people to pickup the day before if at all possible to streamline the morning.
🏆 Awards
- Overall Awards: Top three overall Male/Female in the 5K.
- Age Group Awards: 15 Age groups awards three deep in each for MF.
- Costume Awards: Get in on the fun and wear your silliest, funniest sweaters and holiday gear!
- Furry Friend Award: We will even give out an award for our furry friends.
🤝 Volunteer Opportunities
If you’re not really a runner or walker but want to help?
- Volunteer Needs: We need a lot of volunteers! Maybe you have a friend or partner who just isn't into running OR you want to help AND run/walk in the event!
- How to Help: Good news! There are a lot of options! Just reach out and let our team know you want to help!
