Chip Timing: The race will be chip timed by Pelican Timing Services

Proceeds: All race proceeds fund the 8 NRF scholarships that are awarded to our community's youth!

• Date: February 22, 2025
• Kids 1 Mile Timed Run: starts at 8:30 am
• 5K: 9:00 am

📍 Packet Pickup

• Location: Exygon Health and Fitness Club located at 6450 Phelan Blvd., Beaumont, TX 77706
• Date: Thursday, February 20th - 7:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
• Date: Friday, February 21st - 7:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
• Note: Race day pickup is also available. Please allow extra time.

🏅 Event Description

The Neches River Festival will be hosting their 6th annual Capes and Crowns 5K Run/Walk.

✨ Event Details

• Run Structure: There will be a kids 1 Mile Fun Run starting at 8:30 am with the 5K race beginning at 9:00 am.
• Course: This is a flat course through downtown Beaumont and is suitable for experienced runners and kids alike.
• Refreshments: There will be light refreshments before and after the race and water stations along the race route.
• Medals: All participants will receive custom race medals: overall male and female winners will receive an additional prize.

💵 Registration Fees

Early Online Registration (until February 3, 2025)

• 1 Mile: Kids ages 12 and under $10 (No Race Shirt)
• 5K: 18 and under $20.00
• 5K: 19 and over $30.00

Late Online Registration (February 4th - February 22nd)

• 5K: 18 and under $25.00
• 5K: 19 and over $35.00

🏆 Age Groups & Awards

• Age Groups: 1-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, etc. 70+
• Awards: Top Overall Male & Female plus 1st, 2nd, 3rd Male & Female in each age group

The Neches River Festival, Inc., is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation, organized exclusively for charitable and educational purposes, to promote a sense of community identity and heritage as well as the education of local students through community events. The proceeds from this race are used to fund college scholarships that directly impact the youth of our community.

Neches River Festival provides a cultural, educational, and civic opportunity for participating students, and is open to anyone, regardless of ethnicity or financial background. We are proud of our diverse group of student participants each year who represent each high school in Beaumont, Texas.
