Get ready to lace up your running shoes and join us for the 5th Annual Poteet Strawberry 5K & 1 Mile Fun Walk, hosted by the TRICITY ROAD WARRIORS (TCRW) on Saturday, April 5, 2025! This exciting event marks the kickoff to the much-anticipated Poteet Rotary Strawberry Shift, Battle of the Bands, and the renowned Poteet Strawberry Festival, making it a perfect way to celebrate our community and the vibrant spirit of spring.

🍓 Community Focus

As a nonprofit organization, TCRW is dedicated to promoting health, fitness, and the joy of movement while raising funds for our Scholarship Fund, the Beautiful You Project, and other initiatives. This year's Strawberry Run/Walk promises to be unforgettable, featuring special appearances by the beloved Poteet Strawberry Festival mascots, Ruby and Freckles, as well as the 2nd Annual Car & Bike Show presented by 74 Lube & Inspection, the Grange Art Show, and a variety of vendors, food trucks and giveaways. Don't miss the chance to enjoy the famous Poteet strawberries, lovingly sold by the Poteet Rotary Club.

⚠️ Important Notices

• Children's Policy: Children aged 10 and under must be supervised by an adult participating in the 5K and 1 Mile.
• Shirt Deadline: To secure shirt/size is Wednesday, March 5, 2025. After this date, shirt availability and sizes are NOT GUARANTEED.
• Medals: To earn your FINISHERS MEDAL, you must complete the distance you registered for and cross the finish line.
• Team Trophy: The TEAM TROPHY will be awarded to the largest team registered. Deadline to secure your name on a team is 11:59 P.M. on April 4, 2025. No exceptions.

🕒 Registration Timeline

• Early Bird Special: November 8-30, 2024
• 5K & 1 Mile Walk Price: $20 + fees for ages 10-70 + shirt (The 5K is Time Chipped).
• Price Increase: December 1, 2024 - April 3, 2025
• 1 Mile Walk Price: $15 + fees for ages 5-9 medal only.

📅 Event Timeline

*No Refunds, No Transfers or No Deferments.

If conditions are a danger to participants, spectators, volunteers, vendors, the R/W will be CANCELLED.

📦 Packet Pick-Up

• Date: Friday, April 4, 2025
• Time: 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
• Location: Poteet Strawberry Festival Grounds, Armed Forces Pavilion Poteet, TX.
• Day of Registration: Saturday, April 5, 2025, 6:00 a.m. - 7:00 a.m. CUT OFF TIME is 7:00 a.m. NO EXCEPTIONS.

🚗 Parking & Course

• Parking: Lions Club Pavilion
• Course Type: The Poteet Strawberry 5K course is an OPEN COURSE. Please be aware that there may be traffic, so exercise caution while running/walking.
• Course Details: The 5K course goes through the Poteet Strawberry Grounds, goes out onto Amphion Rd., taking you to the countryside. There will be a turnaround at the halfway point and end at the Armed Forces Pavilion.
• Water Stations: Water will be available at the turnaround and finish.

🏆 Awards

5K Only: 1st, 2nd, 3rd Place M/F in the following age categories: 10-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+

Team Award will be presented after the 5K WINNERS. Door prizes will be drawn from the tickets issued at the end of the Strawberry Run/Walk. You must be present to win.
