πββοΈ Welcome to the ICCS Panther Run
ICCS PTO will be holding its annual Panther Run/Walk 10k, 5K, and 1-Mile Color Run on Sunday January 26, 2025. We are incredibly excited to offer our first 10k route! The races and color run will wind through the streets of the beautiful Margaret Place District and along Shell Beach Dr. Please join us and support ICCS whether you run, walk or cheer! Proceeds from this event go to benefit the faculty, staff, and children of ICCS.
πΊοΈ Brief Route Description
10K
- Start: Wilson Ave. heading north toward Shell Beach Drive.
- Route: Left on Shell Beach Drive, left on Marine St. at the port, left on Sallier St. Turn around at the 3.1 mile marker.
- Water stations: Provided at 5K and 10K turnaround points.
5K
- Start: Wilson Ave. heading north toward Shell Beach Drive.
- Route: This is an out and back route.
- Water station: Provided at 1.56 mile turnaround point.
1-Mile Color Run
- Start: Wilson Ave. heading north towards Shell Beach Drive.
- Route: Right on Pithon St., left on Park Ave., left on Griffith St., left on Wilson St., right on Grove St., right on Harrison St., right on Wilson St.
- Finish: At the starting line.
π Registration
- 10K: $60 per person through Wednesday, January 22: $65 on race day.
- 5K: $40 per person through Wednesday, January 22: $45 on race day.
- 1-Mile/Color Run: $30 per person through Wednesday, January 22: $35 on race day.

Packet Pick-Up
Registered participants need photo identification. Proxy pickup is allowed for immediate family members, husband/wife/sibling, with identification.
- Dates/times: Friday, January 24, 2025, 2:30 p.m.-5:30 p.m.: Sunday, January 26, 2025, 8:00 a.m.-10:00 a.m. (1-mile registration available until 10:30 a.m.)
- Location for pickup on Friday: ICCS Main Lobby, 1536 Ryan Street, Lake Charles, LA 70601.
- Location for pickup on Sunday: ICCS Cafeteria Entrance, 1536 Ryan Street, Lake Charles, LA 70601.
π Race Day Schedule
- Packet Pickup & Registration: 8:00-10:00 a.m. (1-mile registration available until 10:30 a.m.)
- Mass: 9:00 a.m.
- 10K & 5K Pre-race briefing: 10:00 a.m.
- 10K & 5K Race begins: 10:15 a.m.: 1-Mile Color Run begins at 11:00 a.m.
π½ Bib Assignments
- Bib numbers: Issued at Packet Pick-Up. It is the responsibility of the runner to wear the bib during the race.
- Wear location: Front of abdominal area throughout the race.
- Timing: Runners without bib numbers will not receive a time/score.
- Emergency Medical Information: Fill out on the bib number.

Age Group Categories & Awards
Awards will be issued to the following categories for the 10K & 5K only:
- Overall male and female winners.
- 1st & 2nd place: Male and female runners in each age group: 10 and under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 and older.
π Shirts
Long sleeve performance t-shirts are provided to registered participants of the 10K, 5K & 1-Miler. Shirts and specific shirt sizes are guaranteed if you register by Wednesday, January 8, 2025 by midnight.
Additional purchases of t-shirts can be made online at RunSignUp.com registration site, or at Race Day Registration if available.
π¦οΈ Weather
If there is lightning in the area, the race will either have a delayed start, route may be altered, or depending on the intensity of the weather, be cancelled. If fog is present, the visibility will determine if delayed start is necessary. The Race Director will make the determination.
If race is cancelled due to inclement weather or other reasons, notification of cancellation will be sent to registered participants via email and posted on ICCS Facebook page.
π Parking
Parking available at Lock Park, and ICCS Parking lot on Ryan Street. However, carpooling is recommended. We encourage courteous behavior toward our neighbors, refrain from parking in grass or on the streets. Please do not block any driveway. No parking on Wilson Avenue, Park Avenue or Shell Beach Drive.
π Emergency Action Plans
The following actions are taken to provide runners with a safe course:
- Marshall's Office: Officers are positioned along the route for your safety.
- Volunteers: Positioned along the route to monitor medical and safety concerns.
- Strollers: Permitted.
- Runners' precautions: Do not wear earbuds or listen to music while on the route: obey basic road rules and Marshall's Office Officers: stay home if sick.

- Race packet stuffing and organizing.
- Packet pick-up day before race.
- Packet pick-up day of race.
- Race site setup and cleanup.
