🏃♂️ Event Overview
Ring in the New Year with a fast mile! Our traditional Frank Shorter mile will kick off your new year and fire up your competitive drive. We'll be at Westside Park in front of the pool. 1001 NW 31 Dr, Gainesville, FL 32605
💰 Registration Details
- FTC Members: FREE for current FTC members (FREE race code can be found here by logging into your FTC account)
- Kids Race: Free for anyone aged 12 and under
- Non-Members: $15 for the adult 1-mile races
- Awards: There will be awards for overall men and women. Awards for age group winners in 10-year categories for 1st in each age group.
🏆 Prize Information
$100 in Prize Money for 1st place Male and Female who breaks the current Frank Shorter mile record:
- Male: Enoch Nadler - 4:20
- Female: Haley Hasty - 5:11
👶 Kids Mustache Run
Kids who want to run/walk the Kids' Mustache run must register, but this is a FREE event for children 12 and under.
🎟️ Florida Track Club Membership
If you want to join the Florida Track Club and participate in the numerous races and track meets planned each year, go to Floridatrackclub.org. Individual yearly membership is only $40, family membership $65, and student membership $25. For 2024 - 13 total races (all professionally timed) 7 of them are free for club members, 4 races with discounts, and a summer social.
