Encompass Recreation + Samaritan Indoor Track Series

🏃‍♂️ Event Overview

Encompass Recreation is proud to offer a three (3) week indoor track program for youth ages 2 through high-school.

Each series date takes place on designated Sundays and offers age/grade appropriate distances for everyone.

🏅 Race Distances by Age

• 1 Lap/125 Yards: Ages 2 + 3
• Incredi-Dash: 1 Lap/125 Yards*
• 2 Laps/250 Yards: Up to and including age 5
• 3 Laps/375 Yards: Up to and including 1st Grade

• 4 Laps/500 Yards: Up to and including 3rd Grade
• Super Sprint: 4 Laps/500 Yards*
• 5 Laps/625 Yards: Up to and including 5th Grade
• 6 Laps/750 Yards: Up to and including 7th Grade

• 7 Laps/Half-Mile: Up to and including 9th Grade
• 14 Laps/1 Mile: Up to and including 12th Grade

🏆 Special Considerations

• Incredi-Dash + Super Sprints: Adaptive race distances for those with higher support needs who may need extra help during the race. These are the only divisions where adults/helpers are allowed on the course.
• Exceptional youth: are not excluded to only the Incredi-Dash or Super Sprint: they may run with typical peers, in their age-appropriate division, as appropriate.

📋 Race Rules

• Division Participation: Youth may run UP divisions, but not down divisions (ex: a 4 year old MAY run the 4 lap/500 yard race, but a 1st grader may NOT run the 2 lap race).
• Division Switching: Runners may not switch divisions or heats once the series has started.

🏅 Awards and Points

• Point Accumulation: Each week, runners will accumulate points based on their finish order and at the end of the series, awards will be presented to those with the highest cumulative points per division.
• Heats Division: Distances MAY be divided into heats based on registration numbers.
• Combined Distances: Distances MAY be combined based on registration numbers.
• Medals: All participants receive a medal on the final week.
