2025 Hillbilly Half Race Series - Run for the Kids 5K/10K/Half Marathon

👋 Welcome to the 2025 Hillbilly Half Race Series!

HOWDY Friends! This year we've added something new and exciting! Ya'll can "Run fer the Kids" in a 5K, 10K, or the HALF MARATHON! This will be the second half marathon for the HBDRun and we are so excited! So, pick your distance and join us in beautiful downtown Pikeville at the Pikeville City Park, while you enjoy Kentucky's 2nd largest festival, Hillbilly Days.

• Location: 178 College Street, Pikeville, KY
• Distances: 5K, 10K, Half Marathon
• Festival: Part of Hillbilly Days, Kentucky's 2nd largest festival

🚶‍♂️ Course Information

The first half of the half (the 10K portion) will all be on pavement/sidewalks and in the downtown area of Pikeville. Those who elect to do the half marathon will get to enjoy some "off-roading" and become a true "Hillbilly", because part of this route will take you through one of our beautiful trails. There will be challenging inclines, but there is no "hiking" type of terrain. The entire hill route is a wide path and is either paved, or gravel.

🎽 Participant Perks

• Shirts: Each participant will receive a t-shirt or tank top.
• Medals: A UNIQUE medal, featuring the Hillbilly Dad, the second in the Hillbilly Family medal series.
• Future Medals: Each subsequent year’s medal will feature a different member of the Hillbilly family.
• Timing: The race will be timed, so hit the pavement at a nice and easy pace, or run yer hiney off!

👦 Fun for Kids

We will be offering the kids fun run (it's free) and the 2 mile walk for 2025.
