Welcome to the City of Hurricane Crush Run to benefit the Meeks Mountain Trail Alliance. Join us on Saturday, February 8, for the Crush Run Trail 10 miler, 5k run or hike, and Kids' Run. All proceeds go to support further development and maintenance of Meeks Mountain Trails Alliance.

Race Details
- Packet Pickup: Packet pickup will be held on Friday, February 7, from 5:00-6:30 pm and again on Saturday morning from 8:00-10:00 am, at Hurricane City Park's big red barn.
- Restrooms: Bathrooms are available in the park, and portable restrooms will be available at the Start/Finish line.
- Course Note: All races begin in the bowl. You will cross active train tracks to get to the start/finish, so beware and be careful.
- Time Limit: The 10 miler has a 3-hour time limit, and the last aid station will close at 11:30.
π§ Nutrition and Aid Stations
- Hydration: Water and sports drinks are available on the course.
- Aid Stations: The 5k will have one aid station, and the 10-miler will have access to an aid station 4 times.
π Swag and Finish Line
- Runner Swag: Every runner gets the MMTA Crush Run swag, tote, and finisher award.
- Finish Line Party: Expect a finish line bonfire, marshmallows, Orange and Grape Crush, and plenty of hot and ready pizza from our friends at Little Caesars.
- Shirt Preferences: Because we are a Trail Sisters approved race, we have both men's and women's fitted shirts. Please indicate your preference and size.
- Shirt Deadline: To get a shirt in your size and preference, please make sure to sign up before the shirt deadline. January 18 is the last day to get your shirt size.
ποΈ Course Information
- Start/Finish: The 10-miler, 5k, and Kids Run all begin and end at the new Huntington Federal Shelter at the back of the bowl.
- Trail Conditions: Each course will be run on hand-built, single-tract trails. Expect rocks, roots, and lots of rolling fun.
- Kids Run: The kids' run is approximately 1 mile and begins at the Huntington Federal Shelter and follows pink flags.
ποΈ Awards and Recognition
- Overall Awards: Awards will be given for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd overall male and female in the 10-miler and 5k.
- Team Awards: Awards will be given for 1st place Crush Two-Person Teams in the 10-miler and 5k.
- Age Group Awards: Age group awards will be given for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishers across several age categories.
- Kids' Run: The Kids' Run is a fun run with unique finisher awards.

Safety and EMT will be on call for emergency situations.
π Registration
- Participant Limit: Registration is limited to 125 runners for the 10 miler and 125 for the 5k.
- Early Bird Pricing: Kids' run is $10, the 5k is $30, and the 10 miler is $45 until November 30th.
- Discount: Meeks Mountain Trail Sustainers receive a 10% discount on their race registration fee.

Enter as a two-person team and compete for the lowest overall time for the 10-miler and 5K. Pricing will remain the same as above.

- Leave No Trace: Please keep our trails clean, and do not litter.
- Awareness: The trails are open to all users during the race, so beware of your surroundings.
- Courteous Behavior: Please be courteous and polite to all volunteers and your fellow runners.

This is a winter race in February, so expect winter conditions. There are no refunds or deferrals. Please don't ask. Runsignup offers insurance that you may purchase at registration checkout.
