🏃‍♀️ Welcome to the MMTA Crush Run

Welcome to the City of Hurricane Crush Run to benefit the Meeks Mountain Trail Alliance. Join us on Saturday, February 8, for the Crush Run Trail 10 miler, 5k run or hike, and Kids' Run. All proceeds go to support further development and maintenance of Meeks Mountain Trails Alliance.

Get Ready to Crush it and catch a glimpse of what the Hurricane Crush Run is all about!

📅 Race Details

• Packet Pickup: Packet pickup will be held on Friday, February 7, from 5:00-6:30 pm and again on Saturday morning from 8:00-10:00 am, at Hurricane City Park's big red barn.
• Restrooms: Bathrooms are available in the park, and portable restrooms will be available at the Start/Finish line.
• Caution: All races begin in the bowl. You will cross active train tracks to get to the start/finish, so beware and be careful.
• Travel Time: Plan for an extra 15 minutes to walk to the start/finish line.

💧 Aid Stations and Support

• 10-Miler Time Limit: The 10 miler has a 3-hour time limit, and the last aid station will close at 11:30.
• Hydration: Water and sports drinks are available on the course.
• 5k Aid Station: The 5k will have one aid station, and the 10-miler will have access to an aid station 4 times.

🏅 Swag and Finish Line

• Finisher Awards: Every runner gets the MMTA Crush Run swag, tote, and finisher award.
• Food: Expect a finish line bonfire, marshmallows, Orange and Grape Crush, and plenty of hot and ready pizza from our friends at Little Caesars.
• Shirt Options: Because we are a Trail Sisters approved race, we have both men's and women's fitted shirts.
• Shirt Deadline: To get a shirt in your size, sign up before January 18.

🌲 Course Information

• Starting Point: The 10-miler, 5k, and Kids Run all begin and end at the new Huntington Federal Shelter.
• Trail Conditions: Each course will be run on hand-built, single-tract trails. Expect it to have rocks, roots, and lots of rolling fun.
• Kids' Run: The kids' run is approximately 1 mile and begins at the Huntington Federal Shelter.

🎖️ Awards

• Overall Awards: Awards will be given for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd overall male and female in the 10-miler and 5k.
• Crush Two-Person Teams: Awards will be given for 1st place Crush Two-Person Teams in the 10-miler and 5k.
• Age Group Awards: Age group awards will be given for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishers for various age groups.
• Kids' Run Awards: The Kids' Run is a fun run with unique finisher awards.

Safety and EMT will be on call for emergency situations.

✍️ Registration

Registration is limited to 125 runners for the 10 miler and 125 for the 5k. Thanks to our generous local sponsors, the early bird pricing for the kids' run is only $10, the 5k is $30, and the 10 miler is $45 until November 30th. Between December 1 and February 5, registration fees are $10, $40, and $55. Registrations are final, and there are no refunds.

👥 Run with your Crush

Enter as a two-person team and compete for the lowest overall time for the 10-miler and 5K. The two finishing times will be added together to determine the team time. Pricing will remain the same as above.

📜 Rules

• Trail Cleanliness: Please keep our trails clean, and do not litter.
• Awareness: The trails are open to all users during the race, so beware of your surroundings and others.
• No Headphones: Please, no headphones.
• Respect: Please be courteous and polite to all volunteers and your fellow runners.

🔄 Refunds and Deferrals

This is a winter race in February, so expect winter conditions. There are no refunds or deferrals. Please don't ask. Runsignup offers insurance that you may purchase at registration checkout.
