Angel Park – an all-inclusive playground and amphitheater facility in Perry Hall, MD has a very real and personal meaning to members of our community. The name was purposely chosen to represent a vision of an ideal setting for happiness and reflection.

Angel Park began from an idea that came to Kelli and Andy Szczybor after the loss of their baby boy, Ryan. From a sad origin, a bright and life affirming idea emerged – to build a place for laughter, activity, and fun, for families and friends throughout the surrounding neighborhoods.

Angel Park incorporates the designs and ideas of local children and artists. It was built and supported by the community and provides a unique destination to be enjoyed by all families for years to come. It’s more than a memorial park: it’s a special place for children, families, and friends.

💰 Race Options and Entry Fees

5k: $39.10 for registrants ages 11 and over including race day ($4.10 processing fee included)
5k: $28.50 for registrants ages 10 and under including race day ($3.50 processing fee included)
1 Mile Walk: $28.50 for all ages over 10 years of age including race day ($3.50 processing fee included)
Note: The event will be held rain, snow, or shine. Entry fees are non-refundable.

Virtual Option: The virtual option is not available for 2024.

🏃‍♀️ Course

5K Run: An out-and-back course starting and finishing at Angel Park.
Course Direction: Runners will exit the park, turn right onto Honeygo Boulevard, and head toward Belair Road.
Turnaround Point: Runners will turn right onto Forge Road to the turnaround point near Anvil Court.
1 Mile Walk: An out-and-back course on paved surfaces.

🏆 Awards

Overall: Top 3 male and female runners.
Age Groups: Top male and female runners in age groups: 14 & Under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60+.

🎁 Amenities

Shirts: Race shirts guaranteed to all participants who register by November 17th.
Refreshments: Water stations out on the course, post-race refreshments, hot chocolate, music, and free runner photos on race day.
Activities: Fun kids activities, face painting, free candy canes, and maybe a visit from Santa!

📦 Packet Pickup

Date: Saturday, December 7th from 11am - 3PM at Angel Park (near the Comfort Station).
Location: 9685 Honeygo Boulevard, Perry Hall, MD 21128.
Race Day Pickup: Available on December 8th beginning at 7 AM at Angel Park.

🚗 Parking

Race parking will be available in the Perry Hall Park lots (directly across the street from Angel Park). Police will monitor the crosswalk to allow participants to make their way to and from the start/finish area at Angel Park.
