Round the Bay Relay and Ultra- 2024

🏃‍♂️ Race Overview

This is the 14th year for the 36.8 mile Relay/Ultra and widely acclaimed for its scenic Emerald Coast views, fun and festivities for the New Year's holiday time frame.

• Location: Starts on Okaloosa Island and traverses Destin, Bluewater Bay, Niceville, Shalimar, and Fort Walton Beach.
• Terrain: Beaches, bridges (7), bayous, and Choctawhatchee Bay will form the backdrop for much of the race.
• Accommodation: Special discounted resort hotel rooms at the famous beachfront The Island Hotel.
• Note: The construction on Brooks Bridge in FWB may cause some changes, which will be announced race week.

🗓️ Event Details and Schedule

• Packet Pickup: Located at The Island Hotel (our host hotel at 1500 Miracle Strip PKWY SE, FWB) on Friday, Dec 29 from 4:30-7:00 PM.
• Staggered Start: Begins at 6:00 AM on the 30th for relay teams, while ULTRA runners will start at 4:00, 5:00, 5:30, 6:00, and 6:30.
• Post-Race: All teams are designed to finish by 12:30 PM with a great post-race party at the Elks Lodge.

🚧 Race Logistics

• Road Conditions: Roads will be open for the entire race but there will be bridge construction in FWB at the Brooks Bridge.
• Usage: Shoulders, sidewalks and bike lanes will be used.
• Affiliation: It is a NWFTC Grand Prix race.
