SARR Texas Sun Showdown Half Marathon, Relay & 5k

🌞 Event Overview

San Antonio Road Runners invite you to join us for the Inaugural SARR Texas Sun Showdown Half Marathon, Relay & 5k (formerly known as Carrabba's - 5K, Half Marathon, and Half Marathon Relay).

🏃‍♂️ Three Great Options

• Challenge: Run the Half Marathon.
• Team Fun: Create a Relay Team and grab your friends!
• Solo Option: Participate in the 5K on your own.
• Swag: Receive a Texas finisher medal, an awesome Texas theme shirt, and delicious Texas barbecue food post-race.

🔗 Relay Information

You will be prompted to join an existing Relay Team or create a new Relay Team during the registration process. Registration fee is a per person fee. All team members must register separately.

🏅 Relay Categories

• Open: All male, all female, or co-ed, any age.
• Masters: All male, all female, or co-ed, ages 40+.
• Super Masters: All male, all female, or co-ed, ages 50+.
• Mixed X: 3 female, 1 male, any age.
• Mixed Y: 3 males, 1 female, any age.
• Military: Teams must consist of military personnel.

📦 Packet Pickup Information

• Pre-Race Packet Pickup: TBD.
• Race Day: June 15th at McAllister Park Pavilion #2 from 6-7:30 AM, 13298 Buckhorn Rd, San Antonio, TX 78247.

⏰ Race Start Times

• 7:00AM: Half Marathon and 2-Person Relay start.
• 7:10AM: 4-Person Relay start.
• 7:15AM: 5K start.

🖥️ Virtual Race Details

The virtual run events will close on June 14 at 11 AM.

The Virtual Texas Sun Showdown 5K and Half Marathon are races that you can run or walk from any location and route. You get to run your own race, at your own pace, and time it yourself.

• Sign Up: Download and print your race bib, complete the run, and submit your results.
• Submissions: Submit your time and download or print your Finisher's Certificate.
• Completion Period: Race results can be submitted between June 15, 2025, 12:00 AM - June 30, 2025, 11:59 PM.

💰 Early Registration Discounts

• SARR Members: Save 25% with online registration thru 5/11/25 (automatically applied at checkout).
• Military and First Responders: $5 discount thru 5/11/25 (applied at checkout: show ID at packet pickup).
• Discounts for Youth and Seniors: Runners age 24 or younger and age 70+ get a 50% discount with online registration thru 5/11/25 (automatically applied at checkout).
