Wrap up the holiday season and start your new year off right by joining the Amelia Island Runners for the inaugural Cannon Ball Run on scenic Amelia Island.

- Location: Main Beach Park, Fernandina Beach, FL
- Courses: 5k and half marathon
- Sights: Includes beautiful and historic roads through Ft. Clinch State Park
📅 Packet Pick-Up
Packet pick-up will be available in Jacksonville and on Amelia Island in advance of race day.
- Pre-Race: Encouraged to avoid delays
- Date: Saturday, December 28th – Noon to 5pm at First Place Sports locations
- Date: Thursday January 2nd and Friday, January 3rd, 2025 – Noon to 5pm at Game Changers Running Company
- Race Day: Saturday, January 4th – 6:30am at Main Beach Park
🏁 Course Information
The Cannon Ball Run course will be very similar to the route of the Reindeer Run that AIR was honored to stage for 10 years.
- Route: Primarily on paved city streets with a small segment through the Egan’s Creek greenway
- Course Details: Maps updated on the website by September 30, 2024
- Time Limit: 3.5 hours after the start of the race
- Water Stops: Available on both the 5k and half-marathon course
🏆 Awards
Medals will be awarded to each finisher.
- Categories: Overall Male and Female awards
- Age Group Awards: 10-year age categories for 5k, 5-year for half-marathon
- Example: Women age 30-39 for 5k, age 30-34 for half-marathon
- Finish Line: Celebrate your achievement!
❓ FAQ
Parking: Available in the parking lots around Main Beach Park: please respect private property.
- Post Race Food: Join us for the post-race celebration: food and beverages available for registered participants.
- Refunds: No transfers or deferrals: absolutely no refunds.
- Strollers: Allowed, but please be mindful of other runners.
- Pets: Not allowed on the course for safety reasons.
