🏃♀️ Welcome to the Turkey TrOT
Join us for the first annual Turkey TrOT 5K fun run! Come run, walk, or trot a 5K or 1 mile race! In celebration of Occupational Therapy Week, the Texas Woman's University chapter of Pi Theta Epsilon will participate in a theme week from Monday, November 4th through November 8th. Then, on November 9th, we will have races, snacks, vendors, and more!
🎭 Dress-Up Days
We would love for YOU to participate too! Follow the dress-up days starting Monday, November 4th, and make sure to tag us on Instagram @pte_twudenton and use the hashtags #turkeytrOT #AOTFSCC
- Monday: Mismatch for Movement - Wear crazy/mismatched socks
- Tuesday: Hats off to Therapy - Wear your favorite or craziest hat
- Wednesday: Wild About Wellness - Wear something animal print
- Thursday: Rest and Rejuvenate - Dress in PJs or leisurewear (Scrubs count!)
- Friday: Occupational Balance - Dress as your favorite occupation!
💵 Registration Pricing
- Early Bird: - $20 (Ends on October 25th at 11:59 pm, includes guaranteed shirt)
- General Admission: - $25
- Student/Military Discount: - $5
📝 Additional Notes
- This event is untimed - it is a fundraising fun run!
- All registrations must be done online before race day.
- Only early bird registrations are guaranteed a race T-shirt.
- Snacks, water, and sports drinks will be provided.
- Local vendors will be at this event.
📅 Race Day Information
- Packet Pick-Up:
- Friday, November 8th from 3pm to 7pm at TWU’s MCL Building, first floor lobby. (1314 N Bell Ave, Denton, TX 76209).
- Day of packet pick up will take place near the starting line starting at 7:15am.
- Morning of Details:
- Address: Old Main Circle Denton, TX US 76204
- Please arrive by 8:00am to allow plenty of time for parking and warming up.
- 8:15am start time for both the 1 mile and 5K.
- We’d love for you to wear your Turkey TrOT t-shirt!!
- Bathrooms will be available in Woodcock Hall, near the start line.
- Event Parking:
- Because the event is on the weekend, participants and their families are able to park on TWU’s campus for free, without a permit.
- We would recommend parking in the lot next to the MCL Building, labeled as 15 on the attached parking map.
- After your run, please join us in exploring our local vendor fair, playing yard games, and enjoying some complimentary treats from our amazing sponsors!

ℹ️ About Us
The American Occupational Therapy Foundation (AOTF) is an organization that supports occupational therapy research and increases awareness about the important relationship between health and everyday activities (occupations). In 1988, the AOTF Board of Directors recognized Pi Theta Epsilon (PTE) as a national honor society.
The PTE chapter at Texas Woman's University raises money for treatment research, including an annual donation to the St. Catherine's Challenge.
