🏃♂️ Event Overview
Kids on the Run and the Kids Marathon are non-competitive running events for children and young people age 17 and younger. Participants can choose from these four distances based on their age and ability:
- Distances Available: 100m Toddler Trot, Half-Mile, One-Mile, and 2K Kids Marathon events.
- Location: All events take place on the paved trails of Bohrer Park in the City of Gaithersburg.
- Safety Measures: Participants do not run on roads.
- Support Staff: There is a ‘rabbit’ runner who will lead the participants in each event, and a ‘sweeper’ who follows behind.
