🏃♂️Event Overview
Kids on the Run and the Kids Marathon are non-competitive running events for children and young people age 17 and younger. Participants can choose from these four distances based on their age and ability:
- Distances Available: 100m Toddler Trot, Half-Mile, One-Mile and 2K Kids Marathon events.
🌳Course Details
All events take place on the paved trails of Bohrer Park in the City of Gaithersburg. Participants do not run on roads.
- Rabbit Runner: There is a ‘rabbit’ runner who will lead the participants in each event.
- Event Sweeper: There is also a ‘sweeper’ who follows behind for each event ensuring everyone makes it back to the finish line.
- Cheering Opportunities: There are multiple opportunities to see and cheer for the youth runners!
